Sagging Man Boobs

That should get your attention…

So I had my birthday the other day and it was good, I spend the day out with my wife and mother in law, got my free breakfast at the place that rhymes with Smenny’s.  Enjoyed a few cigars and a few drinks.  We had a fire in our fire pit and friends came over. It was a small gathering but it was an enjoyable experience, it went late(for me), after most the friends went home and the night got chilly, the wife went to bed and my bro-migo and I went in to watch a movie she was interested in watching.

Which comes to the movie aspect, we watched Pompeii, mostly because it had Kit Harrington in it, and the movie was terrible, based on the information I know about the eruption of Mount Pompeii, the story was HIGHLY inaccurate and the acting sucked… 2/5 for the movie.

For the past year or so, I have been watching Netflix a lot.  The wife and I have a good routine going (at least I think so), she goes to bed early(ish) and I stay up later and watch an episode or three of my current show du jour.  This started way back when Community (RIP) was going into it’s second season, I started binge watching it on Netflix then, then the rest of the family got interested, and we caught up to the current selection.  This started a a lot like this, so far we’ve watched Community, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Orange is the New Black, and I am currently watching Blue Mountain State.

I have two problems with Netflixing my tv shows, first, some aren’t available on Canadian Netflix so I have to VPN it.  The second issue I have is that most of the shows, if they aren’t popular enough to still be on, they are cancelled too early.  (My bro-migo is insisting I watch Firefly, but I see how other Firefly fans are hell bent on it returning, and why would I do that to myself?  I have this issue with current TV shows, why inflict more trauma on my psyche?)

Come to think of it, I watched Dexter on Netflix and I loved Dexter, but I HATED the ending, they were supposed to be together.

So… what else should I ramble on….

I started going to the gym again recently, this new gym is a smaller gym, no real affiliations and significantly cheaper, the great thing is that I just paid for 3 months and there’s no recurring charges.  If I decide to be lazy and not go again after a month, it’s not that big of a deal, as opposed to having to pay for a 3 year membership and not show your face there again.

CFL is on the verge of a labour disruption, that’s not good.  Normally I am all about unions being useless in this day and age and striking is selfish, but when I look at the information that the league and the players union put out, this is one strike I would support.  The highest paid CFL’s counterparts in the NFL make ten times as much just to be a bench warmer.  I think that there is enough interest and love for the game up here that we could afford  to have the players make more money, it’s fairly evident that the owners of the teams are making enough.

My only issue with the CFL right now is that I believe that each team should have a covered stadium.  The season goes from June to November, last time I checked all of Canada (except Vancouver) will have snow in October/November, which makes for terrible playing conditions for players and the fans.

I know this is a good bunch of rambling, most of it barely coherent, but that’s what my brain is like today.

Namaste
