Most of you won’t know this, but I HATE peaches. They are one of the few fruits I won’t eat. It stems from too much fake peach flavour in my youth.
Impeachment. Doesn’t that mean “forcing someone to eat or cohabitate in a peach”? ie James and the Giant Peach.
Of course I know what impeachment means. According to the news, no President of the United States of America has been impeached. There was talk about impeaching Nixon, they were in the process of impeaching him when he resigned. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were acquitted after their impeachment hearings.
Donald Trump is going through impeachment hearings now. I will tell you what I suspect is going to happen. The Democrats and Republicans are going to draw out the proceedings until such a point that, just when they are going to make a decision, the election is called and it’s all a moot point.
This means that after all is said and done, there will still be no American President impeached.
While the Democrats desperately want Trump impeached, secretly I think that they don’t want to be responsible for setting the precedence of having impeached the first President.
The Republicans don’t want Trump impeached because that means that they were wrong in their choice of candidate, thus damaging the credibility of their next candidate.
Trump doesn’t want to be impeached because, lets face it, he wants the power still. I don’t think he really cares about the Democrats or Republicans thoughts and feelings, or the future of either parties candidates.
Now I do have to give a bit of a caveat, I am a Canadian, I don’t know much about American politics, and what I do know is from the media (Fake news and what not). I do know that even up here in Canuckistan we have feelings regarding Trump and his dealings, I would even say that we are divided on our thoughts on him. I know some people say that he’s good for their investments, and others say he’s bad for world security. I don’t know.
What I do know in all of this is that I still don’t like peaches and I don’t have enough unbiased information to make an educated decision.
