WOW! I finally transferred all my previous blogs over here. Some of the formatting didn’t transfer well, but for the most part I think I fixed it s best I can. It took me an hour or so to transfer ten or so blogs but it’s done. My life in bloggage is finally in one place.
I was planning on doing this at home to be able to use the superior internet that is provided at home by my work but I find that I am too distracted at home with other stuff, well anything. I have found that when I am at home I don’t necessarily want to work on my computer. I do that for eight hours a day at work and the last thing I want to do is work on my computer at home. I don’t mind playing a game or two to distract myself. I enjoy playing a mob fighting game on Facebook but that is really all I play now.
See, I was talking about moving my blog and such and I went off on a tangent about me being distracted. Isn’t that so apropos. Again I am “off topic”.
Ahem.. I decided this morning to get up and go to the local coffee shop with my laptop in the hopes that I will be able to write and I started with my usual routine, facebook, mafia fighting game, status update, check twitter, read the celebrity gossip rags online, look at wikipedia’s main page, and local news. I was then thoroughly bored and rather disgusted with the fact that I haven’t written anything. I haven’t even opened the manuscript to prepare to write. I then decided to transfer my blog.
So much for my routine. I notice now that my routine is a distraction in itself. I will do anything to “prepare” to write but when it comes to writing, it just doesn’t happen. If I want to be a successful author I will have to buckle down and avoid the distracted routine and work on the writing.
So, in a nut shell, or to tie in loosely to my previous blog, in a nut-job shell, I am driven by routine, easily distracted and a procrastinator. To make a Sheen-ism, that’s a WINNING combination, like crack, hookers, booze and driving too fast down a narrow road along side a steep canyon. (Oops I didn’t mean to bring Ryan Dunn into this… too soon?)
Sorry folks, I didn’t mean to bring up two WINNING people, however I bet Mr C. Sheen and Mr R Dunn both share Tiger blood, it’s just that Dunn’s is splattered all over the side of the road…
Dang it! I did it again. No more Dunn-ings or Sheen-isms. I mean seriously, I won’t mention Two and a Half Jack-A$$es again…
WINNING!!!
